The Defender is the back bone of the Land Rover brand. Rugged and raw, its reputation has always been that of dependability and durability. The new limited edition 75th anniversary edition harks back to classic Land Rover heritage in color and purpose. It’s strong, capable but undeniably beautiful in Grasmere green.

Our goal was to lean on the idea of ‘Rugged and Raw’, but with a refined touch. In planning, the brief mentioned modern sharp architecture with raw materials as the setting for the shoot. In the scouting process, we decided to go to the source of the materials and shoot in a granite mine. This gives full focus on the car while still hinting at the heritage of the Defender.
